Artists of paper art

The virtual exhibition "Artists of paper art" is an international collection of the most significant contemporary works of art made of paper.

The initiative has been promoted by the “Associazione Centro studi e ricerche Lucus", together with the "Museo della Carta"(Museum of paper) in Toscolano Maderno, Lake Garda, Italy. It could be realised thanks to the students of the course "Art, Nature, Identity" of the master course "Green Design", at the L.A.B.A. Academy in Brescia, Italy.

The project was born during the Covid pandemy and it consists in a virtual exhibition both published on the website of the college.

The students have selected their favourite works of paper and got in touch with the artists who made them, asking them about the poetic behind the piece of art, as well as for further information about their work.

The intricate, sophistic artworks are the result of handcraft, artistic techniques and sensibility – the essence of the paper world. With these pieces of art, a lively communication with the people living in and loving the Valle delle Cartiere comes into live. Let us hope that this project is just the beginning of future enrichments.
